Extracurricular Activities And Community Services

Dr. Yeung believes in total education, and that both high motivation and hard work are essential to better educate our students. While he spends long hours in his research and teaching, he ensures a good quality of life for his students, and has been an undergraduate hall tutor for over six years and works with the resident faculty to provide guidance and informal education to tutors and students. He is an established swimmer and has won several intramural swimming competitions held in Hong Kong and Macau, a passionate ocean surfer, and a PADI Rescue Diver.

Dr. Yeung is an ocean enthusiast who likes to work with different marine biologists, field ecologists, coral conservationists, NGOs, etc, to develop cross-discinplinary approaches in solving marine-related problems, promote public awareness of marine conservation, and discover novel problems related to our nature.
